Ole immigrated to North America in April 1880 to Cumberland, Wisconsin and later to Washburn, Wisconsin. Ole returned to Norway in 1887, and brought his paretns to Washburn in May of 1888. Ole met and married Andrina in Chicago, then they moved to Washburn by May of 1889. Jim Bjorklund maxims@gateway.net writes: "I have checked with Washburn, Wisconsin and theytell me that the marriage date for Adrina Bjolgerud, married to Ole P. Swanby listed as 1888 in Chicago, is not verified by the state of Illinois. I cannot locate Adrina in Norway. The Vesterheim Genealogical Center in Madison, Wisconsin couldn't locate an Andrina Bjolgerud in Norway. They also weren't married in Wisconsin. I would appreciate any helpful information you could give me." |
